Reservations

When you make an online booking at our Restaurant you are entering into a direct contract with that Restaurant.

Group Bookings

Group bookings (15 or more people) for dinner or special events or promotions require a deposit of £5 per person to secure a table which must be paid direct to the restaurant before a booking is accepted. We politely request that one bill is issued to the party organiser as we cannot split bills for large party bookings (covering multiple tables).

Telephone and Online Reservations

Due to the fact we welcome walk-ins at any time, Mr Basrai’s only accepts a limited number of reservations.

Walk-in’s

We can be extremely busy, especially at weekends and during bank holidays, and so we do our best to accommodate our customers on a first come, first served basis. We apologise in advance for any wait a customer may experience, however we simply cannot guarantee a table at busy times. We always endeavour to inform you of the estimated wait period involved. We therefore ask large groups, or those attending for a special occasion, to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your booking you must contact the Restaurant directly.

Deposits

We are unable to refund any deposit paid when cancellation is less than 24 hours before the reservation time. If you visit the restaurant at least 24 hours before the reservation time to let us know of any change in your booking we will refund or offset any overpayment.

Deposits are payable per person and are non-refundable where guests in the group do not attend.

Timings

We operate a maximum 1 hour 45 minute seating policy in our restaurants. During busy periods (typically Friday to Sunday, bank holidays and other special days such as Christmas, Valentine’s, Mother’s day and Father’s day) this may be reduced to 1 hour 30 minutes at the restaurant manager’s discretion.

When the Restaurant is busy, management reserve the right to seat you once the majority of your guests have arrived to minimise the risk of your party not being able to finish your meal within the allotted time. The Manager cannot extend the time allocation during busy periods.

Last entry for the restaurant is 30 minutes prior to closing.

Children

Children aged 10 and under will be charged the Kids Half Buffet price. The Manager may ask for proof of age in order to confirm that the guest is entitled to the discount rate. If no proof is available, the Manager’s decision will be final.

Infants are children aged between 1 year and 3 years inclusive. There is a minimum charge for infants. Please enquire with restaurant when booking. There is no charge for babies under the age of 1 year.

Student Meal Deal

15% off food only, excluding Saturdays. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Valid student card must be shown. Manager’s decision is final.

Dietary Requirements

If you have a food allergy, intolerance or sensitivity, please inform your server upon arrival and ask them to refer this to the manager on duty who can then suggest the best dishes for you. The manager will try to accommodate any reasonable special requests but please note that our dishes are prepared in areas where allergenic ingredients are present, so we cannot guarantee that dishes are 100% free of these ingredients.

Lunch

The lunch menu is a scaled down version of the dinner menu.

Lost Property

Mr Basrai’s cannot accept any responsibility for any items lost or stolen on our premises.

We do not have cloakrooms and cannot look after your valuables for you. We therefore ask our customers not to leave their valuables unattended whilst they are perusing and choosing from the extensive selection of cuisine on offer.

Customers are reminded not to leave their mobile phones and other electronic devices on the table since Mr Basrai’s does not accept any liability for any damage as a result of spillages on electronic equipment or valuables.

Takeaway

We do not offer a delivery or takeaway service in any of our restaurants.

We do not allow customers to take away any uneaten food. We ask our customers to be considerate to the environment when making their choices. Our food looks and tastes delicious so we ask our customers to take small amounts in order to sample a number of dishes and to keep coming back for more.

Cinema

15% off food bill, excluding Saturdays, Lunch or Dinner and for 30 days from date on ticket.

Ticket is only valid for one person. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. Not valid on Bank Holidays. Tickets must be presented on arrival.
